Doyle Lawson was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame in 2012. At around the age of 18 he went to Nashville to play banjo with Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys. In 1966 he started playing with J.D. Crowe. In 1971 he started playing with The Country Gentlemen. In 1979 Lawson started his own band creating his own sound.
We caught up with Doyle Lawson at Delaware Bluegrass Festival. It was a pure honor to speak with this legend and hear his views on many topics. Doyle Lawson is clearly a Bluegrass Legend.
