We love Festivals and we love the Great Chow offered at the Festivals. There are so many really great unique vendors out there. Gourmet Food at the Festivals. Love it!!
But considering costs as well as things always taste great when we cook it ourselves...We decided to ask our favorite Festival Chefs for some pointers to help give Festivalvarians some ideas on festival cookin'
Chef Dan is a musician friend of BackstageView.com. When he heard about Festival Chow he wanted to be a part of it. So please check out Festival Chows Video Time with Chef Dan. Easy food to prep at home and cook at the Festivals. Healthy and Tasty!!
Time for some more REALLY GREAT FESTIVAL RECIPES
Check out what Ravenna has added:
All recipes can be prepped ahead of time so that all you have to do is heat up the grill and get cookin'.
They all require a grill of sorts, but have pretty minimal prep prior to festival-ing. I thought these four dishes could be a complete meal in itself - a main dish, with two sides, and dessert... Plus a bonus late night play on a fancy flatbread pizza.
We met Banjo Ken about 10 years ago at GreyFox Bluegrass Festival. He was living in Maine and cooking up a storm. Always making it look easy and always having fun. Now a resident of Arizona- he still makes it to the Festivals and still makes great food and pic's some great 5 string banjo.
We asked him for some tips to pass on. Take it away Banjo Ken...
